STEP 2: VISIT THE GEM RACE MAP TAB!
Inside our members area you'll have access to everything you need in order to be apart of the Gem Race! On December 1st we will open up a link to a map with over 700+ bucket list locations from all around Australia... which we are updating every week throughout the comp! You can earn points each time you visit one of our marked locations and you'll be racing against the rest of our members to reach the top of the leaderboard. Read on for more info...
STEP 3: EACH LOCATION WILL HAVE A CHALLENGE OR TASK FOR YOU TO COMPLETE
Every location that we've marked has its own unique challenge attached, that you need to complete to earn your points! For example, in this pic Ciara & I have made it to one of the marked locations and the challenge was to get a photo sitting on the bonnet of your car with the stunning view of Wilsons Prom in the background... etc
STEP 4. RUBBISH COLLECTION BONUS CHALLENGE
We've decided to add a bit of a twist to the gem race this time around, with bonus points being gained for picking up rubbish at each location that you visit! You will need to take a photo of the rubbish bag you've filled, and a photo of you properly disposing of it to claim you points! We've set ourselves a target of 10,000 rubbish bags being collected this race, so lets see if we can reach that goal by the end of January!
SIDE NOTE: EVERY LOCATION IS WORTHY OF BEING ON YOUR BUCKET LIST, IF THEY AREN'T ALREADY...
We want to make this race as special and unique as possible so we will include locations that are already truly loved by travellers and we will create entertaining challenges to match!
STEP 5: TAKE A PHOTO OF YOURSELF OR ANYONE YOU ARE TRAVELLING WITH COMPLETING THE CHALLENGE
When you're happy with the photo, simply send it through to the email that we will disclose within our map. As soon as we receive your email and process your points, we will send you an email confirming that your points have been updated on the leaderboard! We've thoughtfully planned out these challenges to make them unique to the race!
STEP 6: (OPTIONAL) TO GAIN 2X POINTS, UPLOAD THE PHOTO TO YOUR INSTAGRAM STORY AND TAG US
We understand that sometimes competitions set this sort of task and it just looks salesy when you post it to your story. So we've made sure to create challenges that will produce 'instagramable' photos, that you can be excited about sharing on your page!
STEP 7: VISIT THE LEADERBOARD TAB AND TRY TO REACH THE TOP!
The leaderboard can also be accessed via the members tab. The points will be updated daily, so you can check where you stand amongst the rest of the group!
